USA Men Team

didn’t play up to their
defending championship
expectations. They were placed
in fifth place, by 41 strokes
behind the home team, Scotland.
Australia team and England team
came in 2nd and 3rd
places respectively. The Sam
Torrance Golf course proved that
it was very difficult to play,
tall grass on the both rough
sides, lots of blind bunkers in
the fairway, and greens were
fast. The wacky weather was also
a huge factor – raining, windy,
gusty and cold daily which was
unpredictable.
